The habits of the mind can be changed to bring about a desired life. All too often the only hurdle on our way to success or completing a goal is that the mind wants to keep doing the same 'ol thing. This blocks our ability to move into something new, something better. We can shift these habits!
Utilizing my Master of Science in Applied Psychology and certifications in hypnosis,

Generally, starting a project is the easy part. It's exciting! But when the excitement wanes, we let it take a side seat. More often than not it's because we don't see the blocks that keep us from being fascinated with our own work and feed our desire to complete the journey. Instead, we feel drained. But weekly sessions will keep both the excitement and the concrete steps forward clearly in mind.
The success rate of completing a goal goes from 25% (when you consciously make the choice to do it) to a whopping 95% when you schedule accountability into the process.
Humans are social creatures. We evolved to meet our needs through group efforts. At no time in human history has our population been so large while at the same time so isolated. It's astounding that we ever get anything done at all. In fact, the vast majority of us fall short of our abilities simply because we're going it alone.
The truth of the matter is that you can change the course of your life. Everyone (and I mean everyone) needs a hand at some point in their life. The greatest authors of our time have writing groups, critique groups, alpha readers and beta readers before their work ever reaches their editor for the professional-level suggestions of what to change. If you aren't surrounded by a dozen people supporting you, it's easy for self-doubt to set in.
There's a reason everyone plots new goals at the start of the new year. We have been marking and celebrating seasonal changes since before we left the caves! It is wired into our mental makeup.
So use that to your advantage. We'll start in January and remake the whole year.

I've wanted to be an author since I was a child. There has always been a story ruminating around in my mind. But I didn't belief I had what it took, so I never seriously pursued it. And then one day a friend loved my story idea so much that she said, "You're going to write it down, and I'm going to hold you accountable."
What a game-changer!
I wrote four books and took them on an East-coast tour. When COVID struck and shut all of that down, I decided to study the way we humans pursue goals and earned my Masters in Psychology. I've been using everything I learned with our writing groups, collaborative book projects and private sessions ever since.
The habits of the mind are, fortunately, just habits. Because of neuroplasticity, you can change, rewire your thinking, and create new neural pathways.
